It's gotta be Last of Us 1 & 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, Watchdogs 1 & 2, GTA V.I'm interested to hear what games everyone liked from the 8th gen. My top 4 are Nier Automata, breath of the wild, yakuza 0, and DMC 5
Is it better than the first game?a lot to list but if i had to only pick one, it'd be bayonetta 2
Yeah, it feels a lot tighter and smoother to move and combo enemies, and more varied weapons and movesets. It is better imo. It's too bad that it's exclusive to nintendo. A native pc version would be amazing.
That's exactly what happened. The only way to play it on pc right now is emulatorNintendo bankrolled Bayonetta 2
Persona 5, Dragon Quest 11, Witcher 3, and Fallout 4 for me!I'm interested to hear what games everyone liked from the 8th gen. My top 4 are Nier Automata, breath of the wild, yakuza 0, and DMC 5
Good choices though I've never played dragon quest 11 do I have to play the others or can I just start with that one.Persona 5, Dragon Quest 11, Witcher 3, and Fallout 4 for me!
Witcher 3's this gen so yeah it counts. This ended up being such a fantastic gen! I honestly would have trouble narrowing it down to just a few games, or even an order between amazing new games, indies, and remakes of games that I've wanted for years and years.
My list would probably include:
RE2 & RE3 Remake + RE7
Nier Automata
Devil May Cry 5
FF7 Remake Part 1
Rogue Legacy
Witcher 3 **can't remember if it was this gen technically
The Solus Project
Half-Life Alyx
Hitman Reboot 1 & 2
Hellblade
Hollow Knight
Little Nightmares
MGS5
Until Dawn
Bloodborne
Steamworld Series
They are completely independent of one another, there may be some references you don't get but it doesn't take away from the game. In fact, with all of the quality of life perks DQ11 has versus its predecessors, I would argue this may be the best to start with, though this is obviously subjective.Good choices though I've never played dragon quest 11 do I have to play the others or can I just start with that one.
