The game is sitting at a 68 on Metacritic as of now based on 76 Critic Reviews(will update accordingly as more reviews are out).

Major complaints about the game are regarding its poor gameplay, repetition, grinding, technical issues, and everything that can go wrong with the Games as a Service (GaaS) model.

Highlights of the game is surprisingly enough, its story. Most reviewers said the story is actually the best part of the entire game.

I'm going to wait a few months for some more patches. I do not like it when games crash and the FPS falls to single digit levels.

Has anyone bought the game? What do you think of the game so far?

I‘ve been wanting to play this game but I’m not sure if I will like it very much.

I completed the campaign either yesterday or the day before. It's really good. After that, there is nice replay value. I haven't written a full review yet and not sure if I will but I give the game a strong 8 out of 10.

I would say wait for a sale if you don't really want it. I really, really wanted it and I'm not disappointed at all. But it's my kinda thing. The combat is a bit basic but it's still plenty of fun.

How bad are the technical issues of the game? Framerate, bugs, crashes?

Framerate issues only happen if the screen gets overloaded and that doesn't happen too often. Haven't encountered any game breaking bugs or a single crash on PS4.

The combat could really use some fine tuning but overall it's just a fun game with a great campaign.

Enormous Marvel's Avengers Update Patches Literally A Thousand Issues

Crashes, graphical bugs, and progression blockers are among the bugs Crystal Dynamics says it has fixed in patch notes for Update 1.3.0 for Marvel's Avengers.

There are some more bugs to be ironed out and then they can start working on the QoL updates.
