New SMT III Nocturne HD Trailer Shows More of the Demi-fiend and Vortex World

A new SMT III Nocturne HD Remaster trailer is here, and this second PV offers looks at the Demi-fiend, the Vortex World, and the demons in it.

New trailer showing off the voiced cutscenes, the different Reasons, some of the Fiends, Raidou from the Devil Summoner games and Dante from Devil May Cry. Atlus could have spent a little more money and updated all those character models and environments...oh well, the game is fantastic and if you haven't played it, I highly recommend you do. It's not your typical JRPG where you go "save the world". It's a dark, mature world with challenging combat. And the music by Shoji Meguro is pure sex to the ears (the Staff Roll song alone hits you right in the feels).

Never really played any of the SMT and Persona games. I'd be interested in giving this a shot though. I love JRPGs, even the turn-based ones.

If you love turn based JRPGs, then you will LOVE the SMT and Persona games. Even their spin offs like the Digital Devil Saga and Devil Summoner games are simply a delight to experience.

Heard this one is a good deal tougher than your average "JRPG", but I'll try it on the regular difficulty for Dante's sake. I have a copy of Devil Survivor 2 that I should really play but otherwise no real exposure to SMT/Persona if demos, crossover games or Soul Eater's OST doesn't count.

There's a little bit of trial and error involved in the older SMT and Persona titles. I'd recommend you use a walkthrough/guide while playing this game because some demons can trick you and send you into areas that are chock full of traps that can take huge amounts off your HP.

You won't have an issue with Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal. 5 has really spruced up the gameplay and Royal has a bunch of QOL updates that make the game even more fun to play.

Even on regular difficulty you might want to keep a guide handy. Nocturne and *especially* the older smt games really like screwing you over for going down the wrong hallway. Though nocturne is a lot more accessible than say smt if, persona 1, and smt 2.

I'm so excited for this! I played the PS2 version to death by in the day and it'll be so cool to see it polished up with voiced dialogue and portable to boot!

Definitely getting this on launch day! I hope it does well along with SMTV and opens up the opportunity for more MegaTen games, new titles or remasters or even just translated versions of games that never made it out of Japan like SMT 1 and 2 (similar to what's happening with Fire Emblem 1 right now.)

I'd be SO down for a port of Digital Devil Saga and the Devil Summoner games to the Switch

Digital Devil Saga Vol. 1 and 2 are some of my favorite JRPGs. I hope they port more Megaten games to all the systems.

I've been playing DDS for the first time this month after years of putting it off and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner, I'm SO impressed so far!

The 2 games need to be played back to back for the full effect. It's BEAUTIFUL. And (as) tamami's - Time Capsule is a fitting song for the end.
