Top 5 Chess streamers to watch on Twitch in 2021 - Daily Esports

As Zain said IM Eric Rosen is also worth checking out. He's a bit like if GothamChess was the chillest, nicest dude on earth instead of an in-your-face New Yorker. He and Levy (Gotham) seem to be pretty good friends and often play each other.
IM/WGM Anna Rudolf also deserves mention as one of the most instructive and personable chess streamers. She's just so darn likeable and wholesome, and a very good chess player.
Indian comedian Samay Raina has a fun chess stream, which he started because of the pandemic. He has lots of other chess streamers on as guests to play weird chess variants and stuff. Pretty fun, but obviously not as focused on serious gameplay or teaching.
And then there's good old Agadmator (IM Antonio Radic), who makes fantastic analysis videos of great games of chess. He's on Youtube so I guess he's technically outside the scope of this article. Still: highly recommended.

The fact that the only streamer on the list who you felt the need to point out was "not the best chess player" is actually the 3-rd best player on the list and one of the strongest International Masters in the world is pretty funny. Also pretty funny is that Levy is the only streamer on the list who you distinguished as being a great teacher (a highly debatable statement in itself), while Naroditsky is a far better teacher.
Also, how Eric Rosen is not on the list boggles my mind. His stream quality is hands down the best in the chess industry, and he has a remarkable ability of making his games really immersive with his commentary. He also has a very likeable personality and a soothing voice, which makes his streams incredibly easy to watch.
Chessbrah might also have been worth mentioning, although I don't know who out of the streamers that you listed they would displace.
My personal top 5 would be:
1. GothamChess. He just consistently comes up with the most entertaining content ideas that you won't really get anywhere else, and his series like Guess the Elo, Catching Cheaters, How to Win at Chess, and even his most recent Elo Difference series provide an amount of variety that I have found to be completely unparalleled in the chess world. Some also find his content instructive, which might very well be true if you're a beginning chess player. Levy's main weaknesses are that he is, at the end of the day, 'only' an IM and will make mistakes in his games (although he is still far stronger than his average viewer will ever dream of being), as well as having a divisive personality which will definitely put some people off. That said, he should still probably be your go-to streamer if you're just entering the chess scene.
2. Eric Rosen. I have pretty much already explained what makes Eric such a great streamer, and the only reason he doesn't take the top spot on my list is that his content mostly just consists of him playing viewers and subs. Granted, he still manages to create a lot of diversity in it with his variable playing style and amazing commentary which seems to give each game he plays its own personality, but that probably won't be enough to compete with what GothamChess has to offer for most people. Also, like GothamChess, he is only an IM, so what I said about Gotham also applies to Eric.
