MY GOD!!! THE SOUNDTRACK OF THIS GAME WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. I LISTEN TO THE SONGS WITHOUT GETTING TIRED ALL DAY LONG.
Earth," the atmospheric opening theme, sets the tone with haunting vocal solos scattered throughout. The cues established here are revisited on "Ezio's Family," which adds a sense of danger with urgent-sounding keyboards and strings. It's tough to pick a favorite, but these two stand out.
"Venice Rooftops" is the score's most in-the-present track. It's an action-oriented piece driven by guitar power chords.
"Tour of Venice" is another highlight, evoking all of the emotion that a song about the beautiful Italian city should.
The action is intense on "Venice Escape," which brings some Middle Eastern elements into the mix, as well as on the heavily percussive "Chariot Chase."
"Sanctuary," "Flight Over Venice," and "Leonardo's Inventions" are other must-hear tracks, but we hesitate to even single those out as this recording truly deserves to be listened to and savored in its entirety

Halo, kingdom hearts and neir automata all tie for first place for me
I love Yasunori Mitsuda's work. I think Chrono Cross OST is the best OST in all of gaming.
Standout tracks - Radical Dreamers, Scars of Time, Another Guldove, Reminiscence, Star Stealing Girl
The original God of War had an epic orchestral soundtrack that captured the rage and darkness of Kratos.
Standout tracks - Vengeful Spartan, Zeus' Wrath Divine
Xenogears is another Yasunori Mitsuda masterpiece.
Standout tracks - Small Two of Pieces, Stars of Tears, Balto, Creid
There are other great composters like Yoko Kanno 's work on games like Ragnarok 2 (Prontera Field, Sailing), Hiroyuki Sawano (Xenoblade Chronicles 2), Kajiura Yuki (Xenosaga), Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) etc.
Pretty nice soundtracks. I checked them out and I found them impressive. I felt like the ONLY god OF OLYMPUS that defeated KRATOS.

I can't believe I forgot about Shoji Meguro's masterful works..
There's also the Jet Set Radio games! I still listen to that on its own on a regular basis, those tracks are so fun and funky and energetic
I really hope JSR gets a revival some day, the first one is one of my favorite games ever (I've never had the chance to play JSR Future but that looks phenomenal too. I hope at least that gets ported/remastered like the first one.)

these have probably been mentioned already: metal gear solid games include metal gear rising, guilty gear games, blazblue games, street fighter games, the king of fighters games, final fantasy games, cuphead, most if not all nintendo games, and too many to list lol

Final Fantasy VI - love this game, love this soundtrack. Username might give me away. Every song is great, and they really fit their respective settings in a meaningful way. Better yet, almost every one of the 14 playable characters has their own theme. That is quite a feat for SNES, and something that I appreciate. Some of the more memorable tracks:
Shadow's theme, Terra's theme, Locke's theme, and Dancing Mad (Kefka).
