Hello everyone i found this page from a streamer on twitch called MishManners from a raid she did on a friend of mine called MonkeyMatt. Who at the time was playing dirt rally 2 when it was free on ps plus and introduce this site to us. And Also there was giveaway happening for PS5 im really excited for. Big fan of Gran turismo and wanna finish off the collection i got going with upcoming release of GT7.
So Let's Begin.
Back in 2001 i grew up around cars and video games my introduction in racing was gt3 and supercars on tv back in days it was free to air. by 13 i was able to race in real life doing entry level racing at track called bruce mclaren motorsport park that
isn't far from me learing the ropes from virtual to reality that was big difference. and won couple of events biggest one being 24hrs of lemons you race cars under 2grand for 24hrs but the one i entered went on 3 days it was fun and enjoyble to do until one day i managed to crash my car at bruce mclaren motorsport into a wall at 90kphs and lucky i wasn't hurt in anyway possible but the car was.
So the esport story Begins
After i crashed my car i decided why not try virtual racing after hearing people like jann mardenborough, igor fraga, matt Simmons and many more That came from Gt Acdemy from playing gran turismo to driving a real life race car surplied by nissan themselves. And my first serious event was gtfusion That was big europeon racing league with sponsors like Dunlop Thrustmaster and the winner of that getting a Thrustmaster Wheel.
But i wasn't fast enough to be a top runner at that time.
then eventually gave up that. and starting find other leagues and events to do until i found a facebook post from Let's Play.Live Promoting NZ Fast gran Turismo Gamer that you could only enter from doing time trial event. I tried in this really hard from home. But didn't make it in. so another couple of months to year past i heard the same company doing one for promoting Project cars 2 made it in top ten but got nothing back from them about i'm in or not.
The Big Breakout Happen
Once again but this one i got told Let's Play.live was hosting another project cars event but on project cars 2 entered but there was only 12 other people and me.
made it through the qualifiers and made it to pro that i had to pay 15$ to race in pro season That was Live on Sky and twitch. Finished 9th with a epic Final race Finish. and only missing out by couple of points.
Season 2 of it they changed alot of rules and combo every week and went poorly because i was getting mad and fed up with project cars 2 stuff. and finished 13th and never went back.
Until my Friend Matt At the time told me about CTR Tourment from Let's Play live again at Armageddon Auckland. That i finished 2nd in round 2.
Change of Scene racing to FPS
By the time bo4 was around i decided to jump from racing games to competivite call of duty and fell in love of it learning the strats in snd to hardpoint to league play and cwl settings. i joined up with a team called Elite Gaming org That i found on Facebook This team was quite big and loved in there almost went to my first overseas lan in the states but we couldn't get a Esport team together and losing interest quickly after that.
And went back to racing games As i am still there today competed on iracing in a few big events like daytona 500 bathurst 12hr and nurburing 24hr.
A New Chapter
Earlier this year i started heading back to the arcades and playing wangan midnight and try to compete in that i know it's an arcade game
but still wanna give it shot and try to compete for nz in japan when they host wmmt world event again. besides that i've been working on a racecar to race this season thanks to a friend of mine called for inviting me to a race series called the 2kcup series.
So thanks for reading my introduction story i know it's a bit longer than others.
So Feel free to ask questions.
