I’m Nekro. I’m primarily a community manager for Destructoid, although I’ve also been helping out with some of the forum-related stuff for Daily Esports! So I’ll be hanging out here, too.
Let’s see. I could ramble for hours about my love of the Pokemon series, alongside the Souls games, and Xenoblade Chronicles. Oh, and NieR: Automata.
I also feel as if, with the exception of Bloodborne, Gravity Rush 2 was the best game released this generation for the PlayStation 4. God damn, that game is so charming and energetic. I really need to replay it.
But aside from that, I predominantly play JRPGs. I also find that gaming is most enjoyable for me when I’m laying back with a handheld and a pair of headphones. So maybe I’m a bit more laid back in that regard.
Throughout the years, I’ve owned an NES, Sega MegaDrive (Genesis), PlayStation 2, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance (and an SP — in fact, I currently own an AGS-101 and a modded original GBA), Nintendo DS, Wii, 3DS, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox One S, Vita, and Switch.
I also watch way too much anime to be considered healthy, and have a love of horror films and various forms of schlock cinema. Monster movies, grindhouse films, and so on.
Oh, and I‘ve started to get a bit more serious about collecting vinyls. Predominantly metal (mainly black/doom/prog, with a bit of power metal), and some prog rock thrown in for good measure.
