I’m having an RTX2060S although the CPU is a bit old. i7 4770. With raytracing on medium and reflections enabled, I get stable 60 only very few areas in the game. Mostly it averages from 40-55. And when driving, on 3rdpersom no matter what the FPS drops to like 25-35.

Can confirm this works, have a gtx 1660 it and it makes 1440p playable at low, 1080p buttery smooth at med-high with shadows and fog set to minimum...drastic improvement!!!

Thank goodness after doing some Bio changes to the C-State and Turbo Boost disabling, I am able to run the CB2077 game at everything ultra on 1920x1080 with consistent 62fps on a 4k OLED Dell G7 laptop with a RTX2070 Max Q GPU and Intel 10750 CPU.

Repaste (Thermal Grizzly) your chips, undervolt the CPU, and disable both the C-States and Turbo Boost in the system or power management of the BIOS. Results will be day and night. 🎅👍

Has anyone else tried setting both of those values to "0"?
The fourth line down in the configuration file says this will cause dynamic allocation at runtime.
I tried it, works fine. Unfortunately I'm too lazy to test for an FPS change

This fix is only for people that don't have a 3090 or 3080 paired with a 4k monitor and 3900x or above.

DO NOT do this "tweak". The values in the file are correct. This is set after hardware detection. It's allocating and reserving memory for a specific function. It doesn't mean it's not using memory.

My 2080ti shows 10.2 gigs of vram use out of 11 gigs.

This IS NOT a fix and can hurt performance in certain situations. If you think it's running better it's not.

Tested this on 3700x, 16GB, 5700 XT - no effect at whatsoever. I'm not sure the person that found this fully understands the purpose of the file.

Either I'm missing something or they did this wrong on their own system. You're supposed to get the GPU value to how much VRAM your GPU has, they set it to 8GB, but they say they're using a 2060 Super, which has 16GB.

Ryzen 5 5600x and rtx 3080 here, absolutely no difference made. Although I did do the hex editor trick with the main executable and that did make quite a significant difference.

What kind of lunatic would want to play this game with Ray Tracing turned off? It's one of the few games out that supports proper full ray tracing rather than just a few reflections in puddles.

Exactly. It's posts like these that come up in the feed on my phone that just makes me scratch my noggin. Honestly prolly be the reason why 70% of folks can't play theirs.. cause they try to be computer gurus and fiddle with settings and ini files they have no idea of what they are for.
