And to follow up with your question. We don't know anything about anything going forward with Mass Effect yet. Even the speculation on a Mass Effect trilogy Remaster or Remake is just speculation.

It was actually a lot better than the first one. And I loved the first one. That said, Obsidian Entertainment's sequel was pretty buggy. But if you were willing to stick with it as the game was fixed, it was amazing.

Makes me think of Bethesda lol they release the most glitch laden games that sadly would be amazing if fixed before release

Biggest difference between Obsidian and Bethesda though. Bethesda tends to use the consumers as a free QA team. Obsidian is just occasionally forced to rush stuff out the door before everything is actually fixed. Kind of like every developer that works with EA.

yeah , the news I’ve been looking forward to all this time but not sure if it makes me happy or sad... just a resolution upgrade? Not a remake/remaster? Probably not going to address the ending, quarian face, combat in ME1... Hope damn elevators will get faster, lol Not sure if there’s any value in this “upgrade” ...lazy job, EA!

Yeah, unless someone missed the original trilogy back when it released, this trilogy remaster doesn't offer much value. I'd be happily surprised if they went the extra mile, but it's EA so prepare to be disappointed.

Just by going off the quotes the source doesn't know much other than a remaster is coming.

My fears as well. At the same time for EA it’s a good opportunity to revive old fans’ interest to the franchise - before they invest into the next ME game (assuming the company has any future plans for Mass Effect).

The elevator aspect is fine if they don't make the elevators quicker. But they'd need to find more ways of using that time. Like increasing the possibility for either environmental discussions (like if there are people getting on or off that you decide to talk to) or conversations with your party members.

Yeah, little more freedom to move/talk to your crew (or new ppl entering the elevator) would certainly be an improvement. ..or some cameos - like imagine if Miranda gets on on one of the floors to catch the elevator ride to presidium commons... lol

Miranda wouldn't necessarily make sense unless you've been doing mostly pro-human actions, but if they decided to add some content, maybe the council members could end up using the elevator to given messages to you and your party a little more privately.

Could add some role playing value for sure! ..or taking it with Saren (before he was pronounced Rogue by the council ) - could be quite a dialogue !

Andromeda was such a disaster I think they decided to shelf the series.

The game spawned a legion of memes. It was brutal stuff lol. The facial animations, the bugs, the dialog and its delivery...oof.

Never had animation problems nor bugs. Maybe it was patched before I played it though

Aside from the initial bugs that lasted about six months after launch before those were fixed, there were a variety of other issues mostly related to a lackluster story, pretty big drop in the quality of writing in comparison to any of the previous games (though the tie-in fiction was well written), and a kind of boring playable character to name a few. I still enjoyed it, but they did fall flat on their face. And part of the reason it went sideways is EA screwing around with their budget and ordering the reallocation of personnel including graphics designers and writers to support the Old Republic MMO, which forced them to need to rebuild the team at least once, which required some scaling back of ideas to make them workable. And then EA forced them to rush the game out the door when they finally rebuilt the team a second time. When EA games fall short, it's usually because of EA, not because of the project or the development studio.
