You've got a working PS2 and PS3 now, technology ages and breaks down. That's part of the value of backward compatibility. You have access to what's coming and what else you might discover from previous generations, but you also don't lose access to what you have.It's not a major deal breaker for me as I still have my PS3 and PS2. In fact I still need to finish some classic games on those.
