Yeah that will really test the show unless they have a new cast already lined up or their intention is to focus solely on a smaller cast and what Hoppers captivity will mean
I think they are going to have a lot of flashbacks with the dead actors so not sure
I'm not a fan of that if you kill someone off keep them deaf unless they're gonna be revived

There were some posts regarding whether or not they were going to use a smaller cast, I do know that there's been a lot of casting announcement that they're looking for more people in different casting-related publications. So, unless they've already got the season in the can, they've probably got more that they need to film and they're probably going to be fleshing out the cast more.
